23 Ιαν 2020 · Hi, I’ve got the option on a Pioneer PL-620 but I’m struggling to find much about this turntable. Does anyone own one who could give an informed opinion? Is it decent, or are there any issues I would need to be aware of?
The Pioneer PL-600/X and Pioneer PL-L1000 (linear tracking) were Pioneer's top of the range turntables in 1980, and circa 1980 was the peak of the turntable's golden age, when top quality turntables were being built more often.
A fine if forgotten turntable, the Pioneer PL-600 is required listening for anyone interested in quality Japanese direct-drive turntables. Superbly engineered and a joy to operate and listen to, only the deck's relatively unusual suspension system gives any cause for concern.
