Yes, the current admin is not involved that much anymore more than barely keeping it alive. He said 6 years ago that "TPB is dead to me" and "TPB 2016 is a money machine. It didn't used to be like this. There is no way saving the site since that would mean less profit for the current owner.

The pirate bay is good for pretty much anything, its mostly dead to be fair but I use it as a last result. That said, I will miss rarbg always because it had always been the 1 place to go for quality uploads.
14 Ιαν 2021 · The only way to partially solve the problem is by using the ’48HR’ option on The Pirate Bay’s search page to select specific content that has only been uploaded during the last two days.
TPB has its flaws, but what is dead may never die. There have been better public trackers over the last 15 years, but they've all come and gone. TPB has the distinct advantage of being immortal.
26 Δεκ 2014 · Our security editor Christian believes safe torrenting died with The Pirate Bay, so any future copies just shouldn't be trusted. I don't agree. Though the full site has yet to come back online, the domain is now live again, proudly waving the jolly roger. A sign of its imminent return? Who knows.
