VVA Texas State Council is comprised of 37 member chapters in the State of Texas. Organized in the early 1980's as a non-profit veterans service organization under Vietnam Veterans of America and Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (19) as a result any donations.

Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. (VVA) is a national non-profit corporation founded in 1978 in the United States that is committed to serving the needs of all veterans. It is funded without any contribution from any branch of government.
We are a local chartered chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), which is a national Vietnam Veterans service organization, and that is sanctioned and chartered by the U.S. Congress. There are over 650 VVA chapters and 48 VVA state councils across the country, with over 65,000 individual members.
