17 Οκτ 2024 · Euchre is a card game that’s played with 2 teams of 2 where players try to win tricks and score the most points. Before the game starts, take the 2 through 8 of each suit out of a standard deck of cards so you’re left with 24 cards.
Setup. Players and Decks: You'll need a standard deck of cards minus the twos, leaving 24 cards (Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, 10s, and 9s in each suit: Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs). Sometimes, a Joker is included as the highest trump (explained later).
Euchre cards and players. Usually, Euchre is played by 4 players that are grouped into two separate teams. They use 24 cards deck – from 9s (lowest) to Aces (highest). The card rankings for the trump suit are a little bit different.
Special Euchre decks are available, or the standard 52-card pack can be stripped to make a deck of 32 cards (A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7 of each suit), 28 cards (7s omitted), or 24 cards (7s and 8s omitted). In some games, a joker is added. Shop Bicycle Euchre Playing Cards.
HOW TO PLAY EUCHRE. Euchre is a relatively easy game to play. For each trick or round of play, the first player will lead with a card, and all players will take turns playing their eligible cards afterward. FIRST TRICK
Euchre is a trick taking game with a trump, played by four players in teams of two. The basic play is similar to Whist, i.e. each player plays one card, the highest card of the suit led wins the trick, unless someone has played a card of the trump suit.
