Player Conduct Contract. It is important that everyone understands the goals, boundaries, and expected conduct for players on our teams. A “contract” helps us communicate this. Our goal is to help develop young men by providing an environment where they will practice the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, commitment, and hard work.

1.2 The Code of Conduct aims to promote the highest standard of behaviour and conduct in the administration, coaching and playing of hockey and is an effective means to deter any Participant from conducting themselves improperly both on and off the field-of-play or in a manner that is contrary to the spirit of hockey.
The Hockey5s Rules apply to all Hockey5s players and officials. National Associations have discretion to decide the date of implementation at national level. The date of implementation for international competition is 1 December 2022.

Speed is a game defining physical quality in Field Hockey. It allows players to win races to the ball, create separation on the pitch and ultimately produce a higher number of goal scoring opportunities whilst minimising attacking threats in defence.
Permanent court – a court built for long-term use. Playing Area – the area within the boundaries formed by the perimeter rebound boards and goals. Run-offs - a margin outside the rebound boards that provides an a rea for players to run onto without the risk of colliding with any permanent or temporary structures.
