It can be hard for poets to gain a foothold in the literary community; sometimes the best option is to submit to every poetry contest you possibly can. In that spirit, we’ve compiled a list of 15 annual poetry contests for emerging and established poets alike.
Awards: Various contests including Creative Non-Fiction, The Pacific Spirit Poetry Prize, The Jacob Zilber Prize for Short Fiction, The Grouse Grind Prize for V. Short Forms, and the Annual Earle Birney Prize for Poetry.
1 Μαΐ 2024 · The Lesley Strutt Poetry Contest and the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto Foundation Poetry Award are run annually, June 1 – August 10. Winners announced mid-September. Our jurors will evaluate each entry based on its originality, creativity, emotional impact, and mastery of language.
9 Ιουν 2023 · We're tracking where all the fires are in Canada, how much land has been consumed and how these fires are affecting air quality.
3 ημέρες πριν · Prairie Fire Press and McNally Robinson Booksellers present our 2024 Annual Writing Contests! Although our deadline is November 30 (postmarked, if mailed), you may submit anytime. By entering our contests you have a chance to win: One prize of $1250 is awarded in each of the three categories.
