31 Αυγ 2024 · The GTS menu in Pokémon HOME. The Global Trade System (Japanese: グローバルトレードシステム Global Trade System) is a feature introduced in Generation IV with the advent of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection that allows players to send and receive Pokémon on a worldwide network.
Step 1: set up a hotspot by using your phone. Make sure to remove any password requirements. Step 2: go into ds settings for wifi through the game and add the hotspot as a connection. Step 3: change the primary dns to DNS: 178.62.43.212. Step 4: turn the hotspot on and proceed to the game.
Context: Before the shutdown of Nintendo WFC, there was a way to send your Pokemon's data to a computer/send custom Pokemon to your DS by rerouting the GTS server's signal to your own computer, which would then facilitate a 'Fake' GTS of its own.
