The focus sash is not consumed upon use in the battle tower or online battling. Any battle in which you would gain experience, a rival battle, the elite 4, a gym leader rematch, a legendary capture event at Ramanas park, all of those would use up your focus sash if your Pokémon was to take a potential 1 shot from full health.
it won't activate, sash only works from full health when hit by a move that will knock it out. As soon as you take any damage the sash breaks.
I was trying to fight all the gym leaders in a rematch and I had a Focus Sash on my Garchomp and he used it and then after the fight it disappeared. Is that supposed to happened? I thought usually items can be used once in battle and still be able to maintain it afterwards
