16 Ιουλ 2024 · The old man glitch is a well-known glitch in Pokémon Red and Blue, and an extension of the Fight Safari Zone Pokémon trick. It is one of the methods by which the player can encounter MissingNo. and 'M (00), and almost certainly the most famous method. Its name comes from the old man in Viridian City, who is required to begin the glitch.
MissingNo. is not an official Pokémon species that players are meant to encounter, but it is accessible to players in European and North American copies of the games via a glitch. Nintendo of America first documented the events that cause MissingNo. to appear in the May 1999 issue of Nintendo Power.

Glitch Pokémon can be forced to appear by performing the glitch known as the Johto Guard glitch with the help of Pokémon Gold or Silver, or by manipulating the RAM (with Gameshark codes for example) or the ROM.

You probably won't know me, but if you do, you'd probably know me as the guy who discovered that Body Slam can't paralyze Normal-types in RBY along with a few other RBY in-battle glitches by tracking down the source code of Pokemon Red and Blue. Now, this is something I've been wanting to put together for a long time.
