Polar Caves Park is a set of glacially-formed caves located in New Hampshire 's White Mountains region, in the United States. The caves were formed during the last ice age from granite boulders and are so named because the deepest cave is cold enough to allow snow to linger long into the summer.
Offering 9 granite boulder caves, boulder mazes, nature trails, and an animal park with fallow deer and ducks. Squeeze through our well-lit caves, try your hand at mining for gems at the Baker River Mining Sluice, and snap a selfie with a view at the top of the Raven’s Roost.

The Polar Caves were formed about fifty thousand years ago as the third continental glacier descended over New Hampshire’s White Mountains. When the ice retreated, it left behind an amazing series of caves and passageways for visitors to explore. Self-guided tours take you to the rock garden and nature trails and through the caves.
