28 Φεβ 2024 · In 47 CE, the empress Messalina forced Poppaea's mother, Poppaea Sabina the Elder, to commit suicide. From her mother, Poppaea the Younger inherited property and a brick factory in Pompeii. She used the beauty she also inherited from her mother to her advantage.
Poppaea's father, Titus Ollius, was implicated in Prefect Sejanus' failed conspiracy against Emperor Tiberius and committed suicide while Poppaea was only about one year old. Her mother, also known as Poppaea Sabina and recognised as the most beautiful woman of her day, fell victim to Empress Messalina's intrigues, who accused her of infidelity.
He died in late December of AD 35 from natural causes. After his death, Poppaea Sabina the Younger assumed the name of her maternal grandfather. After Titus Ollius's death, Poppaea's mother married Publius Cornelius Lentulus Scipio the Elder, suffect consul, in 24 AD.
17 Αυγ 2021 · According to the Roman historian Tacitus, in AD 65 Poppaea Sabina was killed by her husband, Emperor Nero, who had lost his temper with her. She was heavily pregnant and a kick in the belly was enough to end her life.

Nero's father, Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus, murdered a boy, deceived bankers, and was charged with treason and incest.
