12 Φεβ 2024 · The game used to have a native port for Mac, but the publisher dropped support when Apple went 64bit only with Mac OS Catalina 10.15. With this community port you can play this game again as you used to in the past on Mac OS Mojave.
I'm excited to play, but when I try to download it Steam tells me that Portal 2 is not compatible with my computer because Portal 2 is 32 bit, which the newer Macs (mine is the 2020 MacBook Air running Catalina 10.15.6) do not support. Any advice on how I can play this game on my computer?
17 Νοε 2023 · Portal 2 is a beloved puzzle-platform game that poses a challenge for Mac users because, technically the game has an official macOS version, but that version won’t work on modern macOS releases due to the fact that macOS 10.15 and later versions of the operating system do not support 32-bit apps.
Best option is bootcamp. Just back up your files beforehand. Portal 2 Runs smooth on Steam running on crossover with big sur on an M1 Mac mini. I mean, all the recommendation that point towards parallel, bootcamp, etc., aint helping.
