Pacific offers three freshman admission pathways for completing the Pre-Pharmacy Advantage Program. Each pathway requires a minimum overall 3.0 GPA and a 2.7 GPA in specific math and science courses, in addition to submission of an advancement application, an interview and a writing sample.

Admission to pharmacy programs in California is highly competitive. A bachelor’s degree is required for entrance into Pharmacy School at USC and UC San Diego. The other universities that offer the program highly recommend a B.A. or B.S. degree.
Current requirements for California pharmacist licensure are available from the Board of Pharmacy web site. A degree in pharmaceutical science or related field will not prepare you or permit you to practice pharmacy in the U.S. Preparing to apply to pharmacy school is somewhat similar to preparing for medical school.
Prerequisite courses: All prerequisite courses must be completed prior to July 1 of the year of entry into the program. Affirm that they have reviewed and agree that they are capable of meeting the School of Pharmacy’s technical standards with or without accommodations.
