6 Ιουλ 2021 · In this study, several risk factors for developing severe complications of SARS-CoV-2 infection among pregnant women were identified including pulmonary comorbidities, hypertensive disorders and diabetes. Obstetrical and neonatal outcomes appear to be influenced by the severity of maternal disease.
5 Μαΐ 2022 · Pregnancy-related risk factors of COVID-19. Generally, pregnancy predisposes women to more severe disease outcomes compared with nonpregnant women. In view of this, pregnant women have been considered a high-risk group for severe COVID-19.
Key points. COVID-19 disease in pregnancy is associated with increased rates of intensive care admission, invasive ventilation and pre-term birth. Risk factors for severe disease include being overweight or obese, >35 years old, having pre-existing comorbidity and being Black, Asian and minority ethnic.

Evidence is accumulating that SARS-CoV-2 infection during pregnancy is associated with a number of adverse pregnancy outcomes including preeclampsia, preterm birth, and stillbirth, especially among pregnant persons with severe COVID-19 disease.
