  2. 15 Νοε 2021 · In this paper we consider exposures of pregnant women, chiefly in medical settings, review the effects of low, moderate and high dose radiation exposures on the embryo and foetus, and evidence for any difference in the response of pregnant women to radiation.

  3. Methods: The effects of ionizing radiation on the fetus, the prenatal period, parental exposure, the pregnant clinician, and the pregnant patient are discussed in the context of their exposure to radiation.

  4. This review describes the low added risk of malformation/cancer in the offspring, highlight gaps in our understanding, discuss several common wrong beliefs, and recommend how to further decrease radiation dose, especially during pregnancy.
