25 Ιουν 2014 · In British English, presently can mean at present. This doesn't appear to be the case in American English, where it seems it always means "shortly". Presently can have that meaning in British English, too. The position of the adverb is used to distinguish the different meanings in British English.
6 Νοε 2011 · Presently sounds a little more formal than currently to me but both are formal enough. Be aware however, that there is understood to be a difference in meaning of this word between American and British English: in the latter it is often used to mean "soon" rather than "right now".
