Pretenders II is the second studio album by British-American rock band the Pretenders, issued on Sire Records in August 1981. It incorporates two songs that had been released as singles in the UK and placed on an EP in the US.
15 Φεβ 2021 · Following on from 1980’s remarkable debut, Pretenders II was another hit-laden collection from the band fronted by Chrissie Hynde, this one featuring Message Of Love, I Go To Sleep and Talk Of The Town. It also bore a startling physical resemblance to their debut.

The first UK No.1 of the new decade, it topped the chart for two weeks in January 1980. The great irony was that Hynde hadn’t wanted it to be released.
