The West Virginia State Bar is a unified Bar in which membership and fees are compelled by state law and Order of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals as a condition of practicing law. Annual membership fees are used to finance the State Bar's broad statutory mission to promote the administration of justice.

Membership Reporting & Fees 2024-25. Membership Fees are due on or before September 1. If you have any questions regarding fees or compliance contact compliance@wvbar.org. ACTIVE MEMBER. Annual Requirements: Complete annual FRD, IOLTA and Succession Planning reporting and pay $250 membership fee by 11:59pm September 1.
The deadline for paying annual dues is July 31. Lawyers failing to complete annual dues requirements by July 31 will be administratively suspended. Access blank dues statements, address change forms, and a table of deadlines.
