I loved Private Practice! I watched it after I finished Grey's on Netflix because I wanted to get Amelia's backstory. One of the biggest differences is that on Grey's, there tends to be storylines that last for a decent amount of episodes; whereas on PP, there tends to be a single storyline for each episode.
Private practice is on Netflix anyone giving it a watch? It’s okay at best, I would say it’s worth watching but some of the characters decisions just had me cringing. Definitely gives more insight into the story of Addison’s brother and her family, as well as Amelia and her struggle with addiction. There’s some episodes with Derek and Lexi and Bailey.
So, I'm starting Private Practice this week and I plan to keep a viewing diary of the series. After each episode, I'll write my impressions and analyze a little bit the storylines. I did that when I was rewatching Grey's Anatomy and it was fun.
