We have two dive boats that go out to Molokini Crater Monday-Saturdays. We usually do a drift dive around the outer wall of the crater and then into the South Kihei area for a second dive. The Captain of the day will chose the dive sites based on conditions and are willing to accommodate any requests.
I wasn't diving daily but did have a good 3 trips with ProDiver Maui. The basic itinerary was a 2-tank AM dive where the first dive was the Molokini Back Wall, and then the second tank was a shallow drop near shore, such as onto/near a small wreck. From what I recall, all dives were live drops & pickups.

It's technically a wreck dive since it's a wrecked wharf/boat ramp and there's arches/tunnels to dive through if you want and your guide is on board with it in the plan. Your partner can snorkel above you and have a very good view, but bring a dive buoy for them as it's a popular spot for snorkel boat charters.
