14 Φεβ 2022 · My LG 48" OLED CX1 (2020) remote works with my Spectrum non DVR set top box including voice control. My main TV, a SONY, is connected to a world box 200 and its remote does not work with the Spectrum DVR box.
I have been trying to get my LG magic remote to control my Spectrum set top box. Specifically, the ability to change channels on the STB. When I try to set up the remote, it has me go through 7 different attempts to automatically configure my STB, but none of them work.
Make sure your Spectrum Receiver (cable box) is turned on. Change channels by pressing the buttons on your receiver (if available). Remove any objects (i.e. furniture) around your receiver. Position your receiver on a slightly different angle so it can detect your remote. Refer to your remote manual.
