12 Απρ 2023 · Washington, DC and Chicago, IL - April 12, 2023 —After two years of virtual competitions, the Poetry Out Loud® National Finals are returning to Washington, DC, this Spring, May 9–10, 2023, and will be streamed live at Arts.gov/Poetry-Out-Loud.
2 Μαΐ 2021 · The 2021 Poetry Out Loud national finals will take place virtually with each finalist submitting in advance video recordings of their recitations—selected from an anthology of more than 1,100 classic and contemporary poems—which will be part of the May 27 webcast.
A companion to Poetry Out Loud, the Poetry Ourselves competition gives students the opportunity to submit original poetry in spoken and written forms. The 2024 competition was open to Poetry Out Loud state and jurisdictional champions.
Poetry Out Loud encourages the study of great poetry. The program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about literary history and contemporary life.
4 Απρ 2024 · The semifinals and finals will take place at the Lisner Auditorium at the George Washington University and will be streamed live at Arts.gov/Poetry-Out-Loud. Visit PoetryOutLoud.org for the list of the 2024 Poetry Out Loud champions who will take part in the competition.
