31 Μαρ 2022 · National Poetry Competition winner Eric Yip Judges Fiona Benson, David Constantine and Rachel Long have awarded first prize for the National Poetry Competition 2021 to 19-year-old student Eric Yip, for his poem ‘Fricatives’.
2 Σεπ 2024 · The competition is free to enter, and no prior experience is necessary; the only thing we require is a passion for writing! The winner will receive £100, and four shortlisted poets will receive a £25 National Book Token. All five poems will be published in issue 96 of Happiful.
Lest We Forget invites 4-18 year-olds to write a poem in any style on the theme of war and peace. Poems can be about their own experiences, or about something they have learnt at school. 23 Απρ 2021 · The standard of entries in the 2021 Guernsey International Poetry Competition (Poems on the Move) was ‘dazzlingly high’, according to judge Kate Clanchy. This year’s competition, organised as part of the Guernsey Literary Festival, had a record entry of more than 2,000 poems from across the world.
The competition runs annually, opening in the spring and closing at the end of October. A new team of judges (made up of three respected poets) is announced each year. The first prize is £5,000 and the top three winners are published in Britain's leading poetry magazine, The Poetry Review.
