Terrible experience with Provident Metals after 10 years of otherwise hassle-free purchases. Ordered 10 silver eagles in mid-December 2022, and an empty (untampered) box arrived one week later. Package was not insured with the carrier, and the 'internal' insurer refused to cover my claim.

I have received a notification, apparently through Windows, that my computer has viruses. See the image below. I immediately ran scans with Adaware and Malwarebytes. Adaware came up with nothing.

6 Ιαν 2024 · The fake Microsoft Security Alert is a prevalent scam that uses social engineering and pop-up warnings about malware threats to ensnare Windows users. But the alerts are completely fraudulent. If one appears on your computer, close it immediately and do not call the number listed.
A good ad blocker should prevent pop ups/fake warnings/alerts/ads etc. Tracking blockers help too. I use and recommend the free extensions uBlock Origin and Ghostery . Most browsers offer the same or similar extensions...
