Terrible experience with Provident Metals after 10 years of otherwise hassle-free purchases. Ordered 10 silver eagles in mid-December 2022, and an empty (untampered) box arrived one week later. Package was not insured with the carrier, and the 'internal' insurer refused to cover my claim.
In the interim, after I made my purchase and Provident Metals sent my a confirmation, they instituted a self-imposed $299 minimum. They cancelled my order. Very, very disappointed and I had been a recurring customer of theirs, as well as their related company, J.M. Bullion.

While Provident was once trustworthy and reputable, Some people suggest that these problems started after the company’s 2019 acquisition.
