Solved. Okay, so I want to download this PS2 emulator. However, as soon as I get to the moment where I'm asked to select my BIOS, the list shows up empty. Now I asked a fellow from another subreddit about how to do this. He linked me to this site called Myrient.
I’m trying to emulate PS2 games (clearly lol) but I’m not finding the right bios to download. I have Pcsx2 downloaded and I’ve followed a few videos….
The PS2 Bios on the top (the mediafire link) is linked to malware. If you care enough to do a Virustotal scan, you may end up seeing that it's filled with malware. To deal with this malware, take out the hard drive (or SSD) and just buy a new one.
24 Οκτ 2024 · Go to the megathread linked by the Automoderator, go to the Miscellaneous tab, then the Bios section, and finally the Myrient link for “RetroArch System Files”. The one you’re looking for is labeled Sony - PlayStation 2 (LRPS2).
2 Μαΐ 2019 · Only plug in the USB device with the pup file and your controller. Also remove any PS3 game discs from the drive! They contain firmware updates that may try to install instead of the USB update. If you are sure everything is correct but the update still will not start, there is one trick to try.
