Dumping your PS2 BIOS is conceptually a two-step process: Modify the operation of your PS2 so that it can run any program. Then you can run a "BIOS dumper" utility program on your PS2 that reads its BIOS and writes it to a USB drive.
The PS2 Bios on the top (the mediafire link) is linked to malware. If you care enough to do a Virustotal scan, you may end up seeing that it's filled with malware. To deal with this malware, take out the hard drive (or SSD) and just buy a new one.
I was looking up if there was some way of extracting the PS2 BIOS the PS3 uses with PS2 Classics, and found the following link https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS2_Emulation#ps2_netemu.self_2. Ps2_netemu use integrated PS2 bios included in ps2netemu.elf, not additional file like in ps1_emu.
PCSX2 intends to emulate the PlayStation 2 console, allowing PS2 games to be played on a computer. This requires having an original PlayStation 2 console to supply a BIOS dump and the original games, either to be played directly off the disc or to be dumped and played as ISO/CSO images.
This is a tool which runs on your Playstation 2 console and extracts the needed BIOS files from it. PCSX2 will NOT work without a BIOS file so you need to do this before using it. This will not damage your console in any way.
I'm really happy that the ps1 and 2 rom links actually work on my jailbroken ps3, I'm downloading them straight from the web browser, to my usb drive
22 Ιουν 2021 · I recently learned that the PS3 firmware that Sony puts on their website for anyone to download contains a stripped-down version of the PS2 BIOS that works with PCSX2, but only when using Fast Boot.
