Your disability placard or license plate allows you to: Park in handicapped parking spaces. Park at city parking meters without paying. Visitors to SC with Disabilities. If you are traveling to South Carolina from another state, you can use your out-of-state disability placard or plate, as all placards and plates are recognized in all other states.

7 Μαρ 2019 · Getting a handicap placard in South Carolina is a procedure that can be completed through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) by applicants who have a qualifying disability according to state law.
The organization must submit a completed Organization Placard and License Plate for People who have a Disability (SCDMV Form RG-007B). The fee is $1.00 per placard and is limited to the number of registered vehicles.
Placards are available to persons who have been certified as disabled by a licensed physician. To apply, you must have a current driver’s license, beginner permit or identification card photo on file with SCDMV.
Holders of a disabled parking permit in South Carolina can park in any designated hanidcap parking space in the state. They can also park in any on-street metered space in the state's cities for free.
