Actually, what is an adapter: a ribbon cable, one end of which is inserted into the PSP GO memory card slot, and the other end is soldered to the Memory Stick Duo adapter. Yes, plug-n-play versions of such adapters exist in the Internet, but I was confused by the price.
The memory card for the PSP Go is proprietary and stupid expensive for how small they are. You do this so you can use a micro SD card instead.

Works great and easily allows SD card to be changed without opening the device. The guy who did mine does not appear to be offering the service anymore but, if you have the skills, it might be something to consider.
