It is strongly recommended to access your email through My PenTeleData Webmail. However, the following information will provide you with the software settings needed to configure/setup your email software to access your PenTeleData email via IMAP.
These detailed instructions will guide you on how to configure you e-mail software to use the PenTeleData Promail Server with an IMAP connection. 1. Open Microsoft Outlook by either selecting the “Microsoft Outlook” icon from the Windows “Desktop” or by selecting the “Microsoft Outlook” icon from the “Windows” menu.
Make sure your incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) servers are set to be promail.ptd.net. Make sure you username is NOT your full email address. For example, if you PTD email address is johndoe@ptd.net your username would need to be johndoe and NOT johndoe@ptd.net. Make sure you have your CORRECT password typed in.
