The Highway 17 Express Bus Service runs between San Jose and Downtown Santa Cruz via Interstate 280, Interstate 880, and Highway 17. The service is a joint effort between Santa Cruz METRO (who operates the buses), the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) , and Amtrak California (a.k.a. Caltrans Division of Rail).
