All students must claim their CUNYfirst account in order to register for classes, view and pay their bills, check final grades, sign up for CUNY A!ert, Use Blackboard, Degreeworks as well as other services. Once your account is activated, be sure to save your CUNYfirst Username and your 8 digit CUNYfirst Empl ID in a safe location.
Students may pay their bill with an e-check, which electronically debits a checking or savings account, online via CUNYfirst. No fee is charged for an e-check transaction. For detailed instructions on how to pay by e-check, review our FAQ’s or the Bursar Information Letter.
CUNY Portal. • CUNYfirst is the brand new system that allows you to pre-register, register, drop a course, view financial aid information, pay your QC bills, review grades, and much more. • BlackBoard is where you can read posted course materials on the web, take part in threaded discussions, and use other course management tools.
The student loan repayment pause will end after June 30, 2023, and borrowers should expect to resume or begin payment Aug 30, 2023. The Biden administration’s plan will ease the transition to repayment and make the system more manageable through a new income-driven repayment plan.
