The New Queens College student e-mail system is a web-based service, provided by Microsoft’s Office 365. This service is a building-block in providing feature-rich set of tools for collaboration using Microsoft cloud-based products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Office 365 starts in the Outlook tab for your email. At the top of Office 365, you’ll find a set of tabs that will take you to the different tools in your account.
This page will guide you through the basics for your mail, calendar, and contacts in Office 365. The system has been updated with a new design, but it still has features and functionality that you may have used with other web-based email.
Emailing through CUNYfirst gives you quick access to a comma-delimited list of your students’ emails, which you can use to send email using your preferred email client. And the CUNYfirst emailing interface allows you to customize the subject header and add recipients who are not in your class.
Collaborate for free with online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. Save documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online, in OneDrive.
Effective 5 PM on February 15, faculty and staff can access their Microsoft 365 mailbox at www.qcc.cuny.edu/my-365 or by downloading the Microsoft Outlook Mobile App for Apple or Android and using their existing CUNYfirst username (FirstName.LastName##@login.cuny.edu) and password to log in.
