In the Qur'an, the name of Jesus Christ (may peace be upon him) is mentioned in Arabic as "Isa." These verses provide us with a unique insight into the Islamic view of Jesus and remind us of his importance as a messenger of Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ).
١٥٧. and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.”. But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so. 1 Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—only making assumptions.
This article though will try to cite all Quranic verses that refer to Jesus in order (as shown in the Quran, not in revelation order). This is to get a factual grounding on him as Muslims believe the Quran is the word of God.
