Section 16. Programs that Address Trafficking in Persons. - The government shall establish and implement preventive, protective and rehabilitative programs for trafficked persons.

AN ACT TO INSTITUTE POLICIES TO ELIMINATE TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS ESPECIALLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN, ESTABLISHING THE NECESSARY INSTITUTIONAL MECHANISMS FOR THE PROTECTION AND SUPPORT OF TRAFFICKED PERSONS, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
(1) Provide free legal assistance and counsel to trafficked Migrant Workers (MWs) to pursue legal action against their offenders and represent their interests in any criminal investigation or prosecution. (2) Repatriate trafficked MWs, with their consent and assist in the prosecution of their traffickers.
