15 Μαρ 2024 · This landmark legislation was signed into law on March 8, 2004, by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo following the harmonization of two bills on domestic violence and abuse against women in intimate partner relationships.
Furthermore, RA 9262 gives women and their children the right to file a protection order. A protection order is "an order issued for the purpose of preventing further acts of violence against a woman or her child and granting other necessary relief."
