12 Δεκ 2019 · There is a rumour that AOR are releasing a new batch of AR-DV10's in 2020, with ALL the problems fixed, including the hardware related frequency drift. I HOPE that is true, but anyone considering buying an AR-DV10 should be VERY careful. AOR have not been exactly truthful or helpful about the original problems so far.
Rating: 2021-09-13. Big Disappointment. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months. After watching some you tube videos done by radio amateurs, I decided to buy SA7000. I am aware this is NOT an active antenna. The HF performance is below of anything comparable and it's a big disappointment.
Having owned several different Uniden and Radio Shack scanners over the years, I've found the new AOR 8200 MKIII beats them all hands down. Superior performance above even the better base scanners makes this handheld a definite winner!
Rating: 2023-05-26. Bad and not bad. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months. Plus side is that its wide frequency span, and all mode. But as a scanner, just forget, Stops scanning and make noise, And its not SQ that is low. even without antenna and inside EMC chamber, its still same. Contact AOR is like talking to a wall.

24 Νοε 2022 · Most scanner antennas are a compromise. Normally a coil in an antenna is to "separate" the eliments such as with a half over a quarter wave dual band 2m/440. Same effect with a receiver. For portable reception it probably does not make a whole lot of difference.
