Attaching the antenna to a Uniden BCD 536 trunking scanner, I was able to hear some of the transmissions from the distant trunking system but not as well as with the dedicated 800 mHz antenna. Long distance VHF/UHF public service transmissions were sharp and clear on both radios.
27 Μαρ 2024 · If you are a "scanning" enthusiast, this is not as feature-rich as something like the Uniden SDS 200. One should consider the AOR DV1 to be a communication receiver with some added scan/search functionality. One of the best reviews written is here: N9EWO Review AOR AR-DV1 DIGITAL VOICE RECEIVER.
8 Ιουν 2018 · Sadly I have to say i'm not impressed at all, If I program the scanner with the same frequencies as the other 2 scanners I noticed the DV10 misses up to 60% of the transmissions the other scanner catch easily. all these scanner are on it's stock antenna.
Prior to this I'd been using an AR8600 MkII for VHF/UHF with satisfactory results, but I wanted something better. These days I listen mostly to the air bands. The AR5000 is ideal here. Sadly there is no 8.333 khz step which is now pretty much essential for listeners in Europe.
I can honestly say the AOR scanner is better built, a better performer and more fun than the R8500 and it was the worst thing I ever did trading it in. I would absolutely recommend it 100% to anyone who is considering is as a wideband receiver.
1 Μαΐ 2020 · May 1, 2020. #1. I know I took a huge risk when I bought this newly released and unproven receiver and now after 6 weeks it happily still works like a charm. I haven't run into any serious bugs, problems or other faults. In fact it is in pair with my R&S EB200 in matter of performance.
