1 Απρ 2012 · I am trying to find out some information on this shotgun. From what I have found so far, it looks like this gun was manufactured by Hunter Arms. What I don't know is the year it was manufactured.

Shotgun SN 17741, circa 1900, boxlock top lever, double triggers, walnut stock with checkered forearm, pistol grip with cap, LOP 14 7/8", chamber 2 3/4"; barrel L 28" overall L45"; choke Full and Imp/Mod ***NICS Check Required***. Provenance: Private collection.
The barrels retain about 80% original blue toning to brown under bright light showing scattered spots of oxidation and light pitting along the side of the left barrel. The cyanide case-hardened frame retains some nice color, thinning at the carry point with pinprick pitting.
Length-of-pull to the serrated hard rubber buttplate is 13 7/8''. (229010-53) {C&R} [Dr. Jess P. Lewis Collection] serial #173805, 16 ga, 28'' barrels with excellent bores. The barrels retain about 90% later-applied finish with some thinning, handling marks and areas toning to a brown patina.
