To type ñ (Spanish n with a Tilde), press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [~], then n. To type á (a with Spanish Accent), press [Ctrl] + [‘ apostrophe] then a. To type é (e with Spanish acute), press [Ctrl] + [‘ apostrophe] then e.
If you write in Spanish regularly or on a laptop, the best way to type accents on a PC is with the international keyboard. But if you only type them occasionally and you have a full keyboard, you can use ALT codes.
22 Ιαν 2020 · The simple Alt-Shift-+-4-digit code would have apparently worked with a 'chicklet' keyboard, whatever that is, but that is not what the Inspiron 13 comes with. It depends upon what you want to do. If, like the OP, you often need to work in another language, then add another keyboard language.

The first is for newer computers using the Control key and may only work in Microsoft Office. In Office for Windows: For accented vowles: Press Ctrl + ‘, then the vowel (ctrl + ' + a = á) For Ñ: Press Ctrl + ~, then the letter n (ctrl + ~ + n = ñ)
