Washington, Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 - The U. S. Department of Agriculture's Commodity Credit Corporation today announced the repayment rate and loan deficiency payment rate for wool and mohair. The effective repayment rate is the lower of either the 30-day average or weekly rate.
Payments to sheep farmers are made at the end of the year after British Wool has sold the wool on behalf of its members. Payments reflect both the weight and quality of wool delivered and are based on the average price achieved for each type throughout the season.
