We'll be using this tire size as an example: P225/70R16 91S. For most vehicles, you'll see the letter "P" before the number sequence begins: P225/70R16 91S.
These letters and numbers tell you the tire size, type of tire and safety standards. We will teach you how to read your tires below. The first character (s) in a tire size designate the tire’s class. In this example, “P” indicates that the tire is a passenger car tire.
