20 Νοε 2022 · So im trying to install fallout 4 on my xbox series x however when it gets about 45% done it says ready to start then completely stops installing and occasionally it pauses the installation then resumes it. I've tried doing this on my xbox one s (not series s) and i get the same result.
8 Μαΐ 2020 · My update for a game says ready to start but is on 100%, what do I do if I have already restarted Xbox and don’t want to reinstall the game? check in the updates section if you see the update of the game as pending to install, otherwise I feel that you will have to reinstall your game or delete the update and download it again
So ready to start generally means: access the main menu of the game but doing this will end up making you wait ten times the amount of time to actually play the game. Microsoft has ignored this as an issue for a decade.
The “ready to start” is a cool idea, but not executed well. The idea is cool in that I can play a tutorial or the first level while waiting for the rest of the game to download. It’s poorly executed because, as you said, most games use it as a “you can sit at the main menu now” notification.
The NBA 2k games usually means you can do the demo game at the start. But it just means some content is available- sometimes just stuff like the option menu.
You can see this message if you try to start a game while it’s being updated. To check if that’s happening: From the Home screen, go to My games & apps > See all. Select Manage > Queue to see if the game you want to play is getting an update. If the game isn’t updating, do the following.
