16 Αυγ 2011 · For those E38 owners looking to fix that sagging headliner, and saving a few dollars at the same time.... Solution: Buy 2 cans of Permatex Headliner adhesive for $11 each from Advance Auto Parts or wherever, and a 4" paint roller with 2 roller covers.
18 Απρ 2009 · I Figured out a way to fix a sagging headliner permanently! (well it has lasted 2 months so far) All you need is a Hand-held steam cleaner, an absorbent Paint roller, and a friend. To make this work, you need one person on the steamer, and one person on the roller.
12 Ιαν 2018 · Preparing to recover the headliner on the 01 Sled. Good tips. I also plan to use wide masking tape on the edges of the headliner as they become available, wrap the edges to prevent the goo from contaminating everything.

So I gather the E38 is new to you, congrats on one of the finest (and sometimes frustrating) examples of automotive design. If you browse the forums and E38.org you will find a ton of information. 22 Αυγ 2020 · Luckily the headliners in my E83 (and E21 oddly enough) are perfectly fine, but the one in the 442 didn't survive removal when I replaced parts of the floor pan. Just gonna order an entirely new liner and backer board for that one, unless you make house calls!
