FlexEdge DA50A and DA70A units running firmware 3.2.0050.0 or earlier must first update to Crimson 3.2.0050.0 prior to updating to the latest Crimson release. Failure to observe this requirement may render the device inoperable, requiring it to be sent back to Red Lion to be restored.
The Crimson 3 runtime has been extended to support a system menu. This replaces the various options that were invoked by holding down specific key combinations during startup (with G3 HMIs), and provides some additional features relating to saving and restoring configuration information.
9 Ιαν 2024 · They should at least be able to change the interface to match the newer layout. Similar to porting a game from a newer console to an older one, it'll look slightly worse, run a little slower, and be missing some features, but would fundamentally be the same thing.
