19 Ιουν 2021 · Although it heavily relies on the predictability of humans, you’ve got a better chance at success with this trick versus the Red Hammer. Gray Elephants from Denmark includes a few mathematical questions too. Here’s how it goes: Let your “victim” think of a number between 1 and 10, without saying it out loud.
The Red Hammer Trick works like a test. Please remember to answer straight away. Don't start thinking about it; just say what comes to your mind at first sight.
1: You hand someone an envelope with a secret prediction inside and instruct them to only open it when you say so.. 2: You then ask someone a series of simple math questions.. 3: After that, you ask them to name a color and a tool…. 4: 98% of people will say a RED HAMMER!
For a given category (e.g. "tools") we have some representative example (e.g. "the hammer"). It's possible that, when prompted to think of a tool, most people think of a hammer. Similarly, they think of red when asked for a color. That said, I suspect the 98% figure is fabricated.
They may have done a survey asking 1000 people to think of just a color, or just a tool, and then gathered that the two top responses are red and hammer. Sure, but that's the whole magic of it. If 98% of people who are asked to name a tool pick a hammer, and similarly for color and red, that's an interesting fact.
