Below is a collection of Forest Service Maps to navigate Kentucky's Red River Gorge area. They include information about current trails and campsites. As always with trails at the Red, make sure to bring plenty of water, food, and to dress properly for the trail you're doing!
This is the Red River Gorge National Geological Area and Wild and Scenic River. Enjoy ruby flushed sunsets sweeping through hemlocks and fresh rhododendron blooms as you hike through murals of eroded sandstone. Our maps take you there.
Maps can be obtained from the locations listed on the back of this brochure. The Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail (Trail #100) traverses the entire length of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Part of the Sheltowee Trace passes through the Red River Gorge. The trail is marked by a diamond-shaped blaze or a turtle symbol.
