Another doctor told me today that looking at that photo my gallbladder looks about 3x the size of a healthy female gallbladder... So if it was that massively inflamed I'm not sure why it took me 6 months from my ultrasound date to have it out!
My doctor gave me pictures of mine with a measuring tape (apparently abnormally long, haha) and all split open with the massive amount of stones of all different sizes. The pictures were pretty gross, but I also love that sort of thing.
Mine came out two weeks ago and I have my follow up in January. I had stones and want to ask the surgeon if it was typical or a real gravel pit but he is not a chatty fellow and I don't know if he will even remember my gallbladder when he yanks so many.

Found a large 3.5cm stone in my gallbladder. Surgeon basically told me it had to come out. Turned out I had two large stones taking up two thirds of the gallbladder space. Didn't get a HIDA but I'm pretty sure my gallbladder was non-functional, given the amount of bloating and reflux I had been suffering with.
My symptoms were a burning upper abdomen (especially after fatty meals), fatty stools and heartburn. Results showed everything was normal. Since mid october, I have been constipated but less burning, practically nons. And since december, I feel a dull ache under my right rib a few hours after eating.
