Another doctor told me today that looking at that photo my gallbladder looks about 3x the size of a healthy female gallbladder... So if it was that massively inflamed I'm not sure why it took me 6 months from my ultrasound date to have it out!
Both my mother and grandmother had their gallbladders removed in middle age. They also both had Barrett's esophagus. My sister says she has gallstones and kidney stones and gets "attacks" which have driven her to the ER.
Yes i am much wider in the back too but i gained about 15lbs. And my thighs are bigger; not so much the stomach. I just realized from my latest vacay pics that straight cut puffy jackets, crew neck tshirts, puffy sleeves all seem to emphasize the width.
A few people responded saying they'd just had one or two attacks and that was it, not even mild symptoms after, and still had it out. If you're continuing to have mild symptoms day to day, it's technically impacting your daily life and I think it's safe to assume you'll still have surgery. Edit: Good luck with work.
I started having symptoms five years ago when I was only 26. Everyone assumed it was just acid reflux or maybe ulcers. Someone finally suggested an ultrasound and they found one single very small stone and everyone seems very sure, based on my symptoms, that this is what it causing my pain.
My symptoms were a burning upper abdomen (especially after fatty meals), fatty stools and heartburn. Results showed everything was normal. Since mid october, I have been constipated but less burning, practically nons. And since december, I feel a dull ache under my right rib a few hours after eating.
