I'm looking for a horror game with a good story to scratch an itch. I have access to my PC (PS Now also) and a Switch. I don't mind if it's an older game or a newer game. Just looking to get immersed in a horror world with a story more than just "hey, here's some jump scares".

There are a lot of horror titles with great gameplay, but these mainly focus on atmosphere or their interesting creepy-factor. The further down we get, the more they could turn into interactive experiences instead of classic games. Please feel free to discuss any of these, or add your own ones!
Few very good horror themed games are very hard to find these days such as Amber Journeys Beyond, The Dark Eye and action packed RE like Nocturne together with its Blair Witch trilogy sequel. I think these exists in physical form only.

Dead Space: Best survival horror. Pretty much a perfect game from top to bottom. Resident Evil 4: Best action horror. It skirts the line between action and horror better than anything else. Evil Within 2: Best Sandbox horror. Takes everything the first game laid out and expands on it very well. Completely underrated imo.
Darkwood and Suite 776 are two that come to mind. If you really want to scratch that itch though, I suggest you go over to itch.io and search through there. It's overflowing with all types of indie game, mostly horror games so you're bound to find a few.
Horror games that everyone needs to play. I'm new to the genre, so it would be interesting to know which games you think are the best and which are definitely worth playing. It doesn't matter how new or old they are, AAA or indie projects, etc. Just any game that is worth playing in your opinion.
